About the role
We are looking for a senior Platform Diagnostic Engineer to own diagnostics for our hardware platforms, from board bring-up through manufacturing and field support. You will write and maintain diagnostic firmware and software, debug problems that span hardware, BIOS, and the Linux kernel, and validate that our systems are reliable and perform as designed. What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in diagnostic, embedded, or platform firmware development
- Strong proficiency in BIOS/UEFI development and debug, including platform initialization, ACPI, SMBIOS, and boot flow (UEFI/EDK II, AMI Aptio, or coreboot)
- Strong proficiency with the Linux kernel, including device driver development, kernel debugging (kgdb, ftrace, crash/kdump, dmesg analysis), and building and configuring the kernel
- Expert-level C programming. Scripting in Python and/or Bash
- Solid electrical engineering background, with a good understanding of circuit design, board-level hardware, and system integration
