About the role
The Quality Engineer oversees the qualification and maintenance of laser powder bed fusion metal 3D printers and qualification of RPS printed part production. The Quality Engineer will work both independently and on teams with other engineers under the supervision of Quality management to put together project plans. The job functions will cover overseeing, driving and improving quality in manufacturing, supply chain and field service.
What they're looking for
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university
- Required: Minimum of 1 – 5 years of experience working with industry standards that include ISO 9001 and AS9100
- Required: Experience processing CAPAs, NCRs and extensive problem-solving, root cause analysis
- Required: Experience in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings
- Required: Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma practices, 5S, TPS, TQM, etc
- High commitment to contribute to a positive, high paced, and results oriented work environment

- Operate in the inspect, diagnose, and repair mindset.
- Provide in-process inspection activities.
- Work closely with manufacturing, process, field service and quality teams to establish and maintain processes and procedures that will ensure consistently high quality.
- Drive CAPA activity using established processes to determine the root cause of problems and drive for implementation of corrective actions and countermeasures.
- Comprehend current production quality trends based on dashboards or from occurrences in the line.
- Rapidly communicate emerging and trending quality issues.
