About the role
Own and operate Vultr's DNS infrastructure at scale, including recursive DNS (Knot Resolver), reverse DNS, authoritative DNS, and integrations with PowerDNS instances.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or systems engineering in a production environment
- Deep hands-on experience with DNS at scale — including recursive and authoritative
- DNS, DNSSEC, zone management, and troubleshooting complex resolution failures
- Strong Linux systems engineering fundamentals including networking, service
- management, and operational ownership of production services
- Experience building or maintaining APIs or automation layers, with proficiency in PHP
